I wrote yesterday about expectations and their intended and often unintended consequences. Rhett, in Rhett Butler's People, (the only authorized prequel to Gone with the Wind) did not intend to listen to Scarlett O'Hara spill her guts about her misguided and fatal attraction, but he did. And he chose not to torture her for it. OK. Well he tortured her a little. The part that gets me is that Rhett knew immediately that he loved "this dashing creature". Yet he didn't tell her.
It's evening now and it's a Big Brother night. I've been a loyal fan of the show even though I'm not a big fan of the drama. OK. I am a big fan. It's interesting to eavesdrop on other's lives. As long as the result of what I'm watching is OK in the end.
